Terms & Conditions

Terms, conditions and privacy policy We require a credit card to secure ALL bookings. GROUPS: A 10% deposit is required on groups or long stay bookings with balance of accommodation paid on arrival - any extra charges to be paid on check-out with the return of the unit key/s to reception Please realise that bookings made after 6pm for the same day requirements, may not have been received at our office by the time you wish to check-in! Property’s cancellation policy Queen Studio - Queen Studio If your booking is cancelled anytime up to 48 hours before the date of your arrival a 10% fee will apply If a cancellation is made within 48 hours prior to checking in, or failure to advise us of your cancellation & 100% of first night accommodation will be charged. Cancellation/Modification Policy If booking DIRECT with us: If your booking is cancelled anytime up to 48 hours before the date of your arrival, 10% NZD cacellation/administration/re-marketing fee will be charged. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours prior to checking in, or failure to advise us of your cancellation & 100% of first night accommodation will be charged.Booking Sites/Agents:The booking site/agents cancellation policy will be defaulted too (whichever is the larger amount) Please advise us your booking site/agent of changes to your travel plans as soon as possible.Changes in reservation term: Any change in reservation term will be treated as a new booking and additional charges may apply. Any extension to a booking is subject to availability of rooms. Earlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund unless the motel management approve and are able to re-let the booked accommodation. Card Guarantees ALL reservations require authorisation of a credit card. No charge will be made against the card until the day of check-in or due to cancellation (to charge applicable cancellation fees) unless the client fails to arrive for the booked accommodation, or further charges need to be made due to smoking/damage to the rooms. Payment of account: Payment is preferred upon check-in. We reserve the right to charge overdue/recovery fees on all accounts not paid before departure. Undeclared GuestsBy signing this you are agreeing that the number of guests stated above is correct - Including all children. All children under 2 years (infants) stay free of charge when using existing beds & sleeping with parent/caregiver. Children 2 years and above are charged as an extra person. UNDECLARED guests found at check-in will be charged at $40 per person and $20 is gauranteed to go to the local St Johns Ambulance as a donation (sorry as we have this problem far too! often). We reserve the right to refuse any bookings exceeding the number of guests booked without giving you a refund. Visitors/Noise Policy/Damages Visitors are permitted at the management discretion and in consideration of other guests we do not allow parties. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. Visitors must leave quietly before 11pm. We have a 'lights out' policy from 11pm. Management reserves the right to enter and evict following any disturbance or complaint without giving the guest/s a refund. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and any costs associated with inappropriate behaviour resulting in loss of income to the motel, will be charged to the credit card given by the registered guest. Smoking/Odours As this is a smoke free complex. Please smoke outside away from open windows, doors and other guests, especially children. In the event of someone having smoked in the room we reserve the right to charge $500 NZD and any applicable cleaning costs as well as any realted costs resulting in loss of income (room can not be sold due to smells/odours)- this will be charged to the registered guest. Please note this also applies to any strong smelling odours in your room. If the next guest refuses to stay in your room - you will be charged any applicale cleaning costs and the nights tarrif until the room is considered sell-able. Also please read the below important information pertaining to your pending group booking - The motel's policy for accommodation follows (These conditions have been developed from recommendations from MANZ - The Motel Association of NZ) Deposit: In lieu of a deposit we require a Visa or Mastercard to secure the booking, by confirming this booking you are agreeing to us charging said card for any cancellation costs - see policy below Prepayment: Full payment of the reservation charges are to be paid by 30 days before the arrival date unless otherwise agreed upon. Security & Insurance: We require a credit card (Visa/Mastercard) for security for the rooms booked. This will be used to cover any costs relating to or behaviour resulting in loss of income, damage to motel property any cleaning over and above what is expected for normal cleaning, undeclared guests & smoking in the rooms. This will be charged directly to the card held for security after communicating with you costs & evidence of the above. (Usually photographic). Agreeing to the terms in the email you thereby give us authorisation to charge the card used for security. Cancellations: Free cancellation for a minimum of seven days notice is required for Group Bookings. If your booking is cancelled anytime up to 48 hours before the date of your arrival, 10% of the total of the booking will be charged to the card used to secure the bookings. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours prior to checking in, or failure to advise us of your cancellation, 100% of your booking will be charged. Please advise us of changes to your travel plans as soon as possible; we do understand when problems arise. Changes in reservation term/Modifications: Any change to the term of the reservation will be treated as a new reservation and will be subject to availability of rooms, additional charges may apply. Earlier departure than the date shown above, by the group or any member of the group may not result in a refund unless the motel management approve and are able to re-let the booked accommodation. All our rooms have FULL Heat Pumps/ Air Conditioning, FREE UNLIMITED WiFi (5 devices per room), 25 TV channels including 9 SKY TV channels - Sports x2, Movies x3, and more. All of our bigger rooms have 55/60inch TVs. We are in a prime central location only being 450 metres to the Lake Wanaka lakefront and town centre of cafés and restaurants, which makes us convenient for our guests, parking is free directly in front of your room. BBQ area available, not to mention a great playground for the children, including a huge sandpit. We also have a large carpark that can cater for cars, trucks & buses. Please agree by email that you have read & understood the above conditions within ten days after the quotation date shown. This reservation enquiry is not deemed a booking until we have recieved the email of your agreement to the above terms & a Visa or Mastercard to secure it. If we have not recieved any confirmation email from you within the 10 day period after this quotation has been sent, we reserve the right to cancel the pending reservation without further notice.
